ICCC Golf Championship 2026: Golf, business networking, and community leadership came together in Brampton as the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) hosted its 27th Annual Golf Championship Cup on July 30. Held at the Lionhead Golf Club & Conference Centre, the event welcomed more than 200 business executives, entrepreneurs, diplomats, elected representatives, and community members for a full day of competition, networking, and celebrations.
While golfers competed throughout the day, the championship also provided an opportunity for professionals from different sectors to strengthen business relationships and discuss future opportunities for collaboration between Canada and India. The event concluded with an evening reception attended by corporate leaders, government representatives, and guests from across the Greater Toronto Area.
A Long-Standing Tradition for the Indo-Canadian Business Community
Now in its 27th year, the ICCC Golf Championship has grown into one of the Chamber’s flagship annual events. What began as a golf tournament has evolved into a networking platform that brings together professionals from diverse industries while encouraging stronger business and community partnerships.
Participants played on Lionhead Golf Club’s “MASTERS” course, competing for tournament honours and the prestigious ICCC Burgundy Jacket, which has become a signature tradition of the championship. The jacket is awarded to the winning foursome and represents sporting excellence and achievement within the ICCC community.
Government Representatives Join the Event
Several political leaders participated in the day’s activities, reflecting the event’s growing importance within the business community.
During the morning, MP Sonia Sidhu and MPP Deepak Anand met participants on the course and presented certificates recognizing the Chamber’s continued efforts to support community engagement, charitable initiatives, and economic development.
The evening reception also featured addresses from Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown, Ontario Associate Minister of Small Business Nina Tangri, MPP Amarjot Sandhu, and Kuljeet Singh Arora, Consul at the Consulate General of India in Toronto. Speakers acknowledged the Chamber’s role in encouraging stronger commercial and cultural connections between Canada and India.
Business Collaboration Remains a Key Focus
Speaking during the evening program, ICCC President Prashant Srivastava reflected on the Chamber’s recent activities, including its participation during the visit of India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal and its multi-city trade mission to India following the recent improvement in bilateral engagement.
He noted that the annual championship continues to create opportunities for professionals to build meaningful relationships while supporting the broader Canada-India business partnership.
ICCC Vice President of Events and Sponsorship Sandeep Mamgain also thanked sponsors, volunteers, and participants for their continued support, saying the tournament’s success over nearly three decades reflects the commitment of the Indo-Canadian professional community.
Tournament Winners Receive Top Honours
The championship concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding performances on the course.
One of the evening’s highlights was the presentation of the Youngest Golfer Award to 12-year-old Ryan Shah Singh. Participants were also recognized for achievements including Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin.
The winning foursome received the tournament trophy before being presented with the ceremonial ICCC Burgundy Jackets, continuing one of the championship’s most anticipated traditions.
Messages from Leaders Across Canada
In addition to those attending the event, congratulatory messages were received from several political and diplomatic leaders, including Consul General of India Mahaveer Singhvi, Premier Doug Ford, Minister Rechie Valdez, Mayor Olivia Chow, Mayor Carolyn Parrish, and other elected representatives.
The messages recognized ICCC’s contribution to promoting business partnerships, trade opportunities, and stronger community ties between Canada and India.
