Correction Policy
Correction Policy
Last updated: May 2026 | Applies to all 44 StudioX News language editions
1. Our Commitment to Corrections
When StudioX News makes an error — factual, contextual, or otherwise — we correct it as quickly as possible. We do not delete articles to hide errors. We do not silently edit articles without acknowledgment. Every correction is noted clearly on the article itself so readers who saw the original version are informed of the change.
This policy applies equally across all 44 language editions of the StudioX News network.
2. Types of Corrections
- Factual corrections: When a fact stated in an article is wrong — a name, date, statistic, or event — we correct it and note the correction at the top or bottom of the article.
- Contextual corrections: When additional context significantly changes the meaning or understanding of a story, we add that context and note the update.
- Headline corrections: When a headline is misleading or inaccurate, we update it and note the change.
- Translation corrections: When an error occurs in translation across our language editions, we correct all affected editions simultaneously.
- Image corrections: When an image is mislabeled, misattributed, or inaccurately captioned, we correct the caption and credit.
3. Correction Process
- Corrections are made as soon as an error is confirmed — typically within 2 hours of identification during business hours.
- A correction note is added to the article clearly stating what was corrected and when.
- Significant corrections that materially change the substance of an article are flagged at the top of the article.
- Minor corrections (spelling, grammar) are made without a formal correction note but are tracked internally.
- Where an error has been widely shared on social media, we also post a correction on our social media channels.
4. Retractions
In rare cases where an article contains errors so significant that it cannot be corrected, or where the article was published in bad faith, we will retract it entirely. Retracted articles are replaced with a retraction notice explaining why the article was removed. We do not simply delete articles without explanation.
5. Right of Reply
Individuals or organizations who believe they have been unfairly represented in a StudioX News article have the right to request a reply or clarification. We review all such requests and, where appropriate, publish a response or clarification alongside the original article.
6. Multilingual Corrections
When an error occurs in one language edition of StudioX News, we check all other language editions that carried the same story and correct them simultaneously. Corrections in non-English editions are written in the language of that edition so readers can understand what was corrected.
7. How to Submit a Correction Request

Please include:
— The URL of the article
— The specific error you are identifying

8. Complaints About Our Correction Process
If you are not satisfied with how StudioX News has handled a correction request, you may escalate your complaint to the Editor-in-Chief at harnaik@studioxfilmtv.com. You may also contact the Canadian Press Council or the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council if you believe our correction process has failed to meet industry standards.
