‘Wednesday’ Season 3 First Look Out: Netflix Drops First Picture Of Jenna Ortega Arrives in Paris

Wednesday Season 3

‘Wednesday’ is packing its bags and heading overseas. Netflix has dropped a first-look image from Season 3 of the hit series led by Jenna Ortega, and it hints at a fresh, international twist for the beloved gothic drama.

The newly released image, shared across social media on Monday, places Wednesday Addams in a striking new setting—Paris. Standing beneath the iconic Eiffel Tower, Wednesday is seen beside a motorcycle, staying true to her signature moody aesthetic. Perched atop the bike is Thing, the sentient, disembodied hand played by Victor Dorobantu, who remains one of the show’s most memorable and quirky characters. Wednesday, meanwhile, clutches a piece of paper and gazes into the distance with her trademark deadpan expression. The caption accompanying the image reads, “From Paris, with dread,” perfectly capturing the show’s dark humor and tone.

The teaser image has sparked plenty of curiosity among fans, especially since Netflix has remained tight-lipped about the storyline for the upcoming season. However, there’s a strong hint about what might bring Wednesday to France. Season 2 concluded on a dramatic note, with Wednesday and Thing setting off on a mission to find her close friend and roommate, Enid Sinclair. Enid, a werewolf portrayed by Emma Myers, was last seen stuck in her wolf form before disappearing into the wilderness. Determined to bring her back, Wednesday teamed up with her eccentric Uncle Fester, played by Fred Armisen, and the trio rode off together on his motorcycle—Thing tagging along, of course.

Given that cliffhanger ending, it’s not hard to imagine that Wednesday’s Parisian detour could be part of her search for Enid. Whether Enid’s trail leads through the streets of France or beyond remains to be seen, but the international setting certainly opens up new possibilities for the storyline. It also suggests that the series is expanding its scope, moving beyond the familiar halls of Nevermore Academy and into a wider, more adventurous world.

Production for Season 3 officially began in February, signaling that the next chapter is well underway. Alongside returning cast members, the new season is set to introduce several fresh faces. Among the most notable additions is Eva Green, who will take on the role of Aunt Ophelia. Joining her is an impressive lineup that includes Winona Ryder, Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, James Lance, Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan and Kennedy Moyer, though details about their characters are still under wraps.

Fans can also expect the return of familiar characters who have helped shape the series so far. In addition to Ortega, Myers, Armisen and Dorobantu, the cast includes Hunter Doohan, Joy Sunday, Georgie Farmer, Isaac Ordonez, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Luis Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Joanna Lumley. With such a large and talented ensemble, Season 3 promises to deliver both continuity and fresh dynamics.

The show itself draws inspiration from the classic characters created by Charles Addams, whose darkly comedic world has been reimagined for a new generation. At the helm of the series are showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, with Tim Burton bringing his distinctive visual style as director and executive producer. Together, they’ve crafted a series that blends mystery, humor and gothic charm in a way that has resonated with audiences worldwide.

While much about Season 3 remains a mystery, this first glimpse makes one thing clear: Wednesday’s journey is far from over—and it’s about to get a lot more global.
