Taylor Swift Tops Spotify’s Most-Streamed Artists Ever; Bad Bunny, Drake Trail Close Behind

Taylor Swift

It’s official—Taylor Swift is leading the pack. Spotify has released its first-ever list of the most-streamed artists of all time, and Taylor Swift has claimed the top spot. Right behind her is Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny. That’s hardly surprising—he was Spotify’s most-played artist of 2025, marking the fourth time he’s earned that title and even overtaking Swift that year.

The two have been going back and forth for a while now. Swift held the number one position for two consecutive years, while Bad Bunny dominated the charts from 2020 to 2023. It’s been a constant back-and-forth between the two global stars.

Coming in third is Drake, followed by The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, Eminem, Kanye West, Travis Scott, BTS, Post Malone, Bruno Mars, J Balvin, Rihanna, Coldplay, Kendrick Lamar, Future, and Juice WRLD—in that order.

Spotify hasn’t shared exactly how it calculated these rankings, despite being asked by The Associated Press. Alongside the artist rankings, Spotify also revealed its most-streamed albums, songs, podcasts, and audiobooks as part of its 20th anniversary celebrations.

Streaming continues to dominate the music industry, accounting for 82 percent of total revenue in the U.S., according to the Recording Industry Association of America.

Founded in Sweden in April 2006, Spotify remains the biggest player in the game. It holds more than 31 percent of the global market share and boasts around 751 million users, including 290 million subscribers, across more than 184 markets worldwide.
