Public Disco is marking a major milestone in 2026—its 10th anniversary. For the past decade, the organization has transformed Vancouver’s streets, plazas, laneways, and public spaces into lively open-air dance floors, showcasing both local talent and internationally renowned artists from the underground electronic music scene.
To celebrate, Public Disco is bringing back its much-loved Summer Block Parties series, presented by Olé Cocktail Co. Whether you’re a longtime attendee or planning to experience the event for the first time, this summer promises an unforgettable lineup of music, dancing, art, and community.
Four Block Parties, Endless Good Vibes
This year’s series features four unique outdoor events, including two free, family-friendly celebrations and two ticketed 19+ parties featuring international headliners.
Each event reimagines urban spaces as vibrant cultural hubs filled with music, dancing, food trucks, art installations, licensed bars, and entertainment throughout the day. From house and disco to techno and Latin-inspired electronic sounds, there’s something for every music lover.
Granville Island Block Party
June 5–6, 2026 | Free | All Ages
The summer kicks off with Public Disco’s largest free event of the season—a two-day celebration at Granville Island.
Day one highlights Salsa, Dembow, Guaracha, and Latin electronic music, curated by Brendocha. Day two shifts the focus to disco and house music, with a lineup curated by 2flowers that pays tribute to the genres’ roots.
Attendees can enjoy pop-up bars, food trucks, go-go dancers, family activities, and plenty of dancing throughout the weekend.
City Centre Artist Lodge Block Party

One of Public Disco’s favourite venues returns for another summer party. Surrounded by stunning murals and mountain views, the City Centre Artist Lodge will transform into a massive outdoor dance floor.

Pride Block Party

Public Disco’s annual Pride celebration returns with another standout lineup. Headliners Colored Craig (Los Angeles) and CarrieOnDisco (San Francisco) will be joined by Phillippe (Toronto), Overland, and Softieshan.
The event will also feature go-go dancers curated by Gago 007 and a new Street Stage Takeover presented by local collective TeXture. Programming is curated by local artists Jesse Walker and DJ dood.
Downtown All Vinyl Block Party
August 29, 2026 | Free | All Ages
The season concludes in the heart of downtown Vancouver with Public Disco’s popular All Vinyl Block Party.
Taking place at šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtlʼe7énḵ Square (Vancouver Art Gallery North Plaza), the event will feature vinyl-only DJ sets curated by Dairy Free, along with pop-up bars, a record sale, a vintage market hosted by Granville Flea, food trucks, and activities for children.
Celebrating a Decade of Community
To commemorate its 10th anniversary, Public Disco will launch a limited-edition merchandise collection. Fans can shop the exclusive items at the Public Disco Pop-Up Shop during the Granville Island Block Party on June 5 and 6.
Reflecting on the milestone, Public Disco Executive Director Nickolas Collinet shared his excitement:
“We are so excited to celebrate 10 years of Public Disco. Over the past decade, we’ve had the privilege of transforming Vancouver’s urban spaces into vibrant dance floors, and none of it would be possible without the incredible community that has grown around our events. This summer’s Block Parties are for everyone. Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or are discovering Public Disco for the very first time, we can’t wait to dance with you.”
