Get ready for a day of culture, community, and celebration as the Canadian Cultural Festival returns to Burnaby on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Presented by BCIT, the free, family-friendly event will once again transform the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre into a vibrant gathering place where people of all ages can experience the rich diversity that makes Canada unique.
From live performances and international cuisine to interactive activities and local artisans, this year’s festival promises its biggest and most exciting lineup yet.
A Celebration of Cultures From Around the World
The Canadian Cultural Festival is designed to bring communities together through music, food, art, and shared experiences. Whether you’re exploring a new culture, supporting local businesses, or simply enjoying a fun day out with family and friends, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Spectacular Live Performances
One of the festival’s biggest highlights is its diverse lineup of cultural performances. Visitors can enjoy energetic showcases representing more than 12 cultures from around the world, featuring everything from traditional dances and music to contemporary fusion performances.
Each performance offers a unique glimpse into the stories, traditions, and heritage that help shape Canada’s multicultural identity.
Shop Local at the Arts & Crafts Marketplace
For those who love discovering one-of-a-kind treasures, the festival’s Local Arts & Crafts Marketplace is a must-visit destination.
More than 55 talented makers from across Metro Vancouver will be showcasing handmade products, original artwork, jewelry, home décor, and other handcrafted creations. It’s the perfect opportunity to support local entrepreneurs while finding something special to take home.
Explore Global Flavours
Food lovers can embark on a culinary journey through the festival’s Global Food & Cultural Booths.
Featuring flavours from around the world, the food area will offer a wide variety of cuisines alongside cultural exhibits and interactive experiences that celebrate Canada’s diverse communities. Whether you’re trying something new or enjoying a familiar favourite, there’s plenty to satisfy every appetite.
Wellness, Fitness, and Family Fun
Visitors looking to stay active can head to the Outdoor Wellness & Active Zone, where health and wellness take centre stage.
The area will feature mindfulness activities, holistic health vendors, and an interactive garden soccer challenge supporting FIFA Vancouver. Designed for all ages and skill levels, it’s a fun way for families and friends to get moving while enjoying the festival atmosphere.
Career Growth and Professional Development
The festival also offers valuable opportunities for professional networking and career development.
At the Job Fair & Growth Mindset Panel, attendees can connect directly with recruiters from leading organizations, speak with HR professionals, and hear insights from growth mindset experts. The sessions aim to help individuals build purposeful careers, strengthen leadership skills, and gain practical advice for professional success.
Win Exciting Prizes Throughout the Day
Festival-goers will also have the chance to take home some fantastic prizes.
Visitors can participate in a fun passport challenge by collecting stamps from six interactive stations located throughout the event. The first 10 people to complete their passports during each time block will receive premium goodie bags, while all participants will be entered into a Grand Prize Gift Box raffle.
Those who register for the festival in advance will also be entered into additional prize draws, including a Costco Gift of Membership and other sponsor giveaways.
More Than Just a Festival
The Canadian Cultural Festival is more than a day of entertainment—it’s an opportunity to connect with people from different backgrounds, learn about cultures from around the world, and celebrate the diversity that makes Canada stronger.
Whether you’re coming for the performances, the food, the marketplace, or the chance to meet new people, this event is set to be one of Burnaby’s biggest and most memorable celebrations of 2026.
