DELTA, B.C. — Delta voters will choose their next mayor on October 17, 2026, with three candidates officially listed for the city’s mayoral race: Melissa Granum, George V. Harvie and Dylan Kruger.
The City of Delta’s official candidate list identifies Granum as the Delta First candidate, Harvie as the Achieving for Delta candidate and Kruger as the One Delta candidate.
The election will determine more than the mayor’s office. Delta voters will also elect six councillors and seven school trustees for a four-year term running from November 2026 to November 2030.
Who is running for Mayor of Delta?
Melissa Granum — Delta First

Melissa Granum is running for mayor with Delta First.
Her campaign says she wants to focus on accountable government, financial responsibility, community engagement and carefully planned growth. Delta First’s published platform identifies priorities including transparency and accountability, affordability and financial responsibility, livable neighbourhoods, and a safe and connected community.
Granum’s campaign biography says she has worked in municipal and public-sector governance and previously worked with the Delta Police Department and Surrey Police Service on areas including policy, budgets, planning and governance. It also identifies her current role as Director of Board Governance at the BC Lottery Corporation.
George V. Harvie — Achieving for Delta

George V. Harvie is seeking another term as mayor with Achieving for Delta.
Harvie is the current Mayor of Delta. The City of Delta’s current council information identifies him as mayor, while his campaign describes his platform around public safety, fiscal management and planning for Delta’s future growth.
His campaign identifies three broad themes: Delta Safe, Delta Sound and Delta Secure, covering public safety, financial management, development and infrastructure. These are campaign-stated priorities.
Dylan Kruger — One Delta

Dylan Kruger is running for mayor with One Delta.
Kruger is currently a Delta city councillor. His campaign launched his mayoral bid in May 2026 after what it describes as eight years serving on council. One Delta has identified infrastructure, public safety, responsible spending and economic development among its campaign themes.
More recently, the campaign has highlighted affordability, community safety and economic investment as pillars of its platform. One Delta has also proposed no new municipal taxes, levies or fees as part of its affordability position.
What will Delta voters decide?

On October 17, eligible Delta voters will elect:
- 1 Mayor
- 6 City Councillors
- 7 School Trustees
The mayor and council will be responsible for decisions affecting municipal services and local priorities, including parks, recreation, waste collection, land development, police and fire services.

General Voting Day:
October 17, 2026
Voting locations will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on General Voting Day.
The City also allows eligible voters to vote by mail, with applications due by 4 p.m. on October 2.
A three-way mayoral race
With the nomination period now closed, Granum, Harvie and Kruger are the three officially listed mayoral candidates for Delta’s 2026 municipal election.
