SURREY, B.C. — Voters in Surrey-Cloverdale will choose among five candidates in the October 24, 2026, British Columbia provincial election, with the race featuring candidates from the Conservative Party, CentreBC, BC NDP, OneBC and the BC Green Party.

Nicholas Cartmell — Conservative Party
Nicholas Cartmell is the Conservative Party candidate in Surrey-Cloverdale.
Cartmell’s campaign identifies him as a brand strategist and community sports leader who has lived in Surrey since 2012. A five-way race in Surrey-Cloverdale
The 2026 contest brings five candidates onto the ballot, giving Surrey-Cloverdale voters a choice among five political affiliations.
The riding’s 2024 election was won by Elenore Sturko, then running for the Conservative Party, with 48.3 per cent of the vote and a 586-vote margin over BC NDP candidate Mike Starchuk. Sturko is now running in Surrey South for CentreBC. BC Ballot
The 2026 Surrey-Cloverdale race therefore features a different Conservative candidate and a new field of contenders competing for the riding.
As the campaign continues, voters will have the opportunity to compare the candidates and parties on issues including affordability, housing, healthcare, public safety, taxation, transportation and the broader cost of living.
