ABBOTSFORD, B.C. — Ross Siemens has won another term as Abbotsford mayor, receiving 19,418 votes in the October 17, 2026 municipal election, according to the City’s official vote tally. His lead over runner-up Sukhi Dhami was 10,304 votes.

The City’s official results documents list Siemens with 19,418 votes, Dhami with 9,114, Paul Mahil with 1,739 and David Pellikaan with 990. The City reported 31,757 ballots cast and a turnout of 30.42 per cent. The Chief Election Officer’s official declaration was signed October 21, 2026.
A return to City Hall after a long municipal career
Siemens was born and raised in Abbotsford and is a local small-business owner. The City’s biography says he served on council from 2014 to 2022 before being elected mayor in 2022. It also records an earlier period on the former District of Abbotsford council from 1986 to 1990.
His current municipal appointments include chairing the Abbotsford Police Board and the Abbotsford Airport Authority, along with representation on Fraser Valley regional and hospital district bodies.
What Siemens campaigned on
During the 2026 campaign, Siemens identified public safety, roads and infrastructure, flood protection, housing and responsible growth, parks and recreation, and prudent spending as priorities. Those are campaign commitments and should not be read as newly approved City policies.
Flood resilience remains a major Abbotsford issue, particularly around Sumas Prairie and the Barrowtown Pump Station. Siemens’ campaign also emphasized long-term infrastructure planning for roads, water, wastewater and drainage, alongside more housing choices and recreation facilities.
