Police say suspect fled on foot
VPD says officers were called to a bank robbery in progress at approximately 3:30 p.m. on October 30. The suspect allegedly entered the bank, demanded cash from a teller and fled on foot.
Police say officers located the man and took him into custody within 10 minutes of the initial call. The department identified him only as a 38-year-old Alberta man.
No injuries reported
No one was injured during the incident, according to VPD. The police release says the suspect was transported to jail and is facing robbery charges. The department did not name the bank or the man in its public statement.
