Surrey Police Service (SPS) have charged a man in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on October 6, 2025, in the Whalley neighbourhood.
At approximately 3:13 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired near the Gateway SkyTrain Station and the intersection of 108 Avenue and King George Boulevard. Following the incident, the alleged suspect went to the Surrey Police District 1 Community Police Office, where additional shots were fired. The suspect was arrested shortly after.

- Unauthorized possession of a firearm (Criminal Code Section 91(1))
- Pointing a firearm (Section 87(1))
- Reckless discharge of a firearm (Section 244.2(1)(b))
- Assaulting a police officer (Section 270)
- Resisting or willfully obstructing a police officer (Section 129(a))
Centeno has been remanded in custody, with his next court appearance scheduled for October 10, 2025.
